After experiencing and further reviewing of the Ford bearing phenomenon and the fact that the tail pulley assembly bearings are still running with no grease or oil in the same environmental conditions. These bearings have run for over 76 weeks with just one treatment of HDI-2500 spray after being seized to failure. This impossibility has posed a nagging question in my mind every time I see a pile of grease on a bearing about to fail. “Why do Industrial applications require grease as it ALWAYS fails with traditional grease no matter how much grease is pumped into the application”. This question eats at me as I have seen HDI-2500 spray raise bearings from the dead and sustain them for a period beyond the bearings L10 life with no grease.

REDUCING FRICTION

HDI-2500 prevents metal-on-metal wear contact between the bearings and raceways or exterior casing by causing a harden deformation of the contacting interfaces permanently bonding and maintaining a thin hydrodynamic film of lubricity that remains constant at the contacting interfaces despite the machinery's speed, load or environmental heat buildup.

PREVENTING COMTAMINATION

HDI-2500 contain all natural antioxidants and water displacement properties that both keep contaminants out of sensitive internal components and prevents the risk of oxidation or corrosion. Treated surfaces are polished smooth and eliminate friction thus eliminating the ability for contaminates to “grab” the steel surface and pile contaminates to cause vibration and failure. Instead HDI-2500 allows the contaminates get thrown away from contacting interfaces.

TRANSFERRING HEAT

Chemicals in traditional lubricants are used to absorb heat energy and conduct it away from the bearing to maintain safe operational temperatures. HDI-2500 stops the heat at the root cause “Friction”, additionally the all-natural constituents within HDI-2500 absorbs heat energy and conducts it away from the contacting interfaces.
